Dr. Jeffrey Jacobs, a native of Wilmington, Delaware, received his B.A. in Chemistry from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and his medical school degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Jacobs then furthered his training in internal medicine at St. Francis Hospital and the University of Connecticut in Hartford, Connecticut where he was elected chief resident.

Subsequently, Dr. Jacobs returned to Philadelphia where he completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at Lankenau Hospital and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. After practicing in Wilmington, Delaware for two years, Dr. Jacobs relocated to Chicago in 1995 to join a practice in Skokie, IL. In 2003, Dr. Jacobs elected to open his own Gastroenterology practice in Glenview, IL. Simultaneously, Dr. Jacobs initiated the creation of what is now known as the The Glen Endoscopy Center. This Center is a free standing surgery center designated for the sole purpose of performing gastrointestinal procedures.

Dr. Jeffrey Jacobs is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. He has extensive experience and training in all aspects of gastroenterology including therapeutic endoscopy. He has medical staff privileges at NorthShore University Health System, Advocate Lutheran General Hospital and Advocate Condell Hospital.

He holds an academic appointment at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He is president and CEO of the Glen Endoscopy Center and is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Gastroenterology Association. Dr. Jacobs sees patients in Glenview and Skokie.

Dr. Jacobs currently resides in the northern suburbs with his wife Margie and two children, Adam and Hannah.
